Are you a runner? Do you want to run for a cause? Then…

RUN FOR INDIA!

You train for months, run 5-15 miles distances, averaging ~8 miles/week, watch your diet, and wake up at 5 in the morning on Saturdays.. For many of us, the sheer joy of running is motivation enough for all this hard work! But here’s another reason that will make all that sweat seem worthwhile...
Run for your brothers and sisters in India! Run for the thousands of people who lost their lives or livelihood due to cyclone AILA in West Bengal. Run to make quality education a reality for children in Tamil Nadu. Run for the volunteers who are fighting corruption in the states of UP and Bihar

If you're thinking... Running and raising money... How is that possible? It is possible, and we'll show you how. In 2009, 18 runners raised $9800 by running for the Portland marathon and the Sauvie Island Half Marathon! 3 cheers to all the 18 runners!
And to thank you for your efforts, if you raise over $500, AID Portland will pay you up to $200 for any training programs (Portland Fit, and the likes) and/or marathon registration you paid for.

What are you waiting for? Make a dash for it. Run for India!
